Gettin’ Spooky

I have definitely gotten into the Halloween spirit this year and thought I would share some memories and d├ęcor! I remember how fun Halloween was for me when I was a kid. I always dressed up and went trick or treating with friends. Afterwards my family and I would head to my grandparents, where all the cousins, aunts, and uncles played games, ate, and of course us kids would pour out our candy to show and do trades. It was always so fun! I remember some years we would throw Halloween parties. Which we went all out with decorating and food.

I love to decorate, especially with holidays. This year was my first year decorating a Halloween tree and I loved how it turned out.
I did a slim black tree from Amazon which is prefect for whenever I move out because it can fit anywhere. I imagine in a foyer, it would be so cute! I wrapped the tree in orange, purple, and white lights. The white lights I had for some reason and the other lights I got from the Dollar Tree. The ornaments came from a variety of places: Amazon, Dollar Tree, and Michaels. Some are solid colors, where others have some Halloween design. The candy corn in the tree and everything under the tree is from Michaels, except for the boo sign that I made. Lastly, I want to talk about the ribbon in the tree. I got the ribbon from the Dollar Tree, cut a strip about 6 inches, and curled it making sure not to bend it all the way and simply place the curled ribbon into the tree randomly. So super easy and cute! If you try this ribbon trick make sure you have ribbon with wire. I love these Halloween colors and of course the glitter.

In one of the pictures you see is a candy corn rolling pin. I got this idea off of Pinterest. I think its such a cute idea! It’s a great decoration for a kitchen, you can lay it on a tray or in a bin. I love it and the good thing about this idea is that you can do it with any holiday. I went out and found a wooden rolling pin at Home Goods, painted the colors I wanted, created my words/ design off of my Cricut, and added a cute Halloween bow. I also did a Thanksgiving one that you can see below! (Haven’t decided on a bow yet)
